Don Xavier N.D joined as Assistant professor in the self-financing department of zoology on 1/11/2020. He did his graduation and post-graduation from St. Albert’s college Ernakulam and also served as Ad- hoc professor from 2012 to 2014 period. He has a research experience of 5 years as senior research fellow in the ministry of earth sciences- national center for the coastal research center.
During this period he has also worked for his Ph.D. Programme and was awarded doctoral degree for his thesis titled “Ecotoxicology of selected heavy metals, their responses and trophic transfer in the marine organism from Cochin costal system” . He is conversant with methodologies of heavy metal analysis of soil water and organism with a thrust on developing pollution indices. He has also actively organised and conducted international training workshops during his research period. He has published research papers in journals of repute and has presented papers in international seminars.
