An academician with a healthy mix of industry experience Mr. Nidhin Johny has been with Albertian Institute of Management for the past 8 years. After completing his Masters in Management majoring in Finance from one of the top rated institutes in Kerala he has worked with various companies of international repute like Havells and Larsen & Toubro. A profound interest in teaching pushed him to pursue a career in academics which is now nearing a decade. In the eight years in Albertian Institute of Management Mr. Nidhin has taken up roles of a facilitator, Class Tutor and mentor for the students of the institute. He teaches subjects ranging from basics of share markets to financial mathematics for students of the second year and accounting subjects for the first year. Today’s academic environment warrants the need of a sustainable knowledge bank for which Mr. Nidhin Johny has undertaken various initiatives to construct an online database encompassing videos and e-notes for his students. His research interests span from Behavioural Finance to investor psychology. This interest in research has led to the pursuit of a doctoral degree from Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies. The on-going research in behavioural finance has broadened his areas of interest to aspects of rational decision making and free will.
