Dr.Radhika R joined this college in the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture on 29/09/2022.She has 12 yrs of research and administrative experience. She is currently the Assistant coordinator of the office of Dean of Research, St.Albert’s College (Autonomous) and NAAC Criteria 7.She has been the convenor of AKS for the department in the years 2022 and 2023. She had served as  a research scholar for her Ph.D. in Marine Science at Cochin University of Science and Technology, Department of Marine Biology, Microbiology and Biochemistry on a topic “Ecology, morph taxonomy and molecular characterization of Cyclopoid copepods from Lakshadweep Islands, South Eastern Arabian Sea as a project fellow in two externally aided projects viz “Taxonomy and genetic characterization of pelagic copepods from marine habitats along south west coast of India” funded by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India  and UGC assisted project “Rotifer fauna from selected biotopes of Kerala State and evaluation of suitable rotifers as live feed for the larval rearing of ornamental fishes”. Dr Radhika also served as Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in several consultancy projects carried out at Department of Marine Biology, Microbiology and Biochemistry, School of Marine Sciences, such as Ecology and faunal analysis of coastal zone with special reference to recent flood changes” funded by Kerala State Pollution Control Board, “Marine Ecology survey and Biodiversity impact assessment study for EIA &CRZ studies of Integrated Urban Regeneration and Water Transport System (IURWTS) project in Cochin” financed  by the WAPCOS (Water and Power Consultancy Services) Limited, Antea India Private Limited funded project for the “Preparation of Weed Management plan” to support GC-IURWTS for Integrated Urban Regeneration and Water Transport System (IURWTS) in Cochin and Water Metro Dredging Environmental Quality Monitoring funded by TEBMA Marine Private Limited Kilpauk, Chennai Limited during the period from   2019 to 2021. As a successful researcher she threw herself into her assigned projects wholeheartedly, and showed   every sign of having real talent in every spheres of research such as   methodology, data acquisition, processing, interpretation and deriving conclusion. Dr Radhika has the proven track record of accomplishing tasks in a courteous and timely manner through hard work and team work. As a research Scientist she made worthwhile contributions in the field of Ecology, genetic and molecular characterization of Cyclopoid copepods. She is conversant with the operation of several instruments and other gadgets used in aquatic ecological and molecular biology studies. She is capable and well versed in using various analytical soft wares like PRIMER, SPSS and MEGA as well as preparation of data sheet, compilation and project report documentation. She had published a large number of research publications (12) in journals having high impact factor. Dr. Radhika also served as the Co-ordinator of the International Conference on “Impact of Climate Change on Hydrological Cycle, Ecosystem, Fisheries and Food Security” (CLIMFISHCON 2020) jointly organized by the School of Industrial Fisheries, CUSAT.
