Dr Renjithkumar CR joined St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), as Assistant Professor in the Research Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture in 2022. He completed his Post Graduation in Applied Fisheries and Aquaculture from St. Albert’s College and secured the first rank for the same in Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. He was awarded PhD from School of Marine Science, Cochin University of Science and Technology,

He has started his carrier as Extension officer, FIRMA, Department of Fisheries, Kerala from 2011 to 2014. He also worked as Research Associate, Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute, Kochi from 2014 to 2015. Later, he joined as Technical Consultant in Ornamental Fish Division under The Marine Products Export Development Authority, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India. He got Post doctoral Fellowship from KSCSTE, Govt of Kerala in 2018. He also worked as Programme co-ordinator in Kerala State Biodiversity Board, Trivandrum. His academic specialization includes Freshwater fish taxonomy, Alien fish management, Estuarine ecology, Fish biology, Ornamental Fish Breeding, Fish pathology, Sustainable Aquaculture etc. He published 32 scientific papers in national and international journals, 10 seminar/ workshop proceedings and 25 paper presentations. He was the reviewer of various international journals such as Asian Fisheries Science, Acta Ichthyologica Piscatoria, Wetland ecology and Management, Environmental Biology of Fishes, Thalassas: International Journal of Marine Science, Lake and Reservoir Management and Sustainable use, Proceedings of National Academy of Science etc.
