Dr. Retina Cleetus joined St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam, as Assistant Professor (On contract) in 2018 in the Department of Zoology. She was awarded her PhD. from Cochin University of Science and Technology on the thesis entitled “Community Structure of Zooplankton and its trophic analysis in Vembanad estuary, India”. She is proficient in the taxonomy and systematics of zooplankton as well as in their molecular characterization with a research experience of 7 years. She is conversant with the methodologies in ecology with thrust on their interrelationship and dynamics in ecosystem. She has presented her research findings in national conferences and has important publications in peer reviewed journals. She has been the Department Secretary since June 2019, member and Secretary of Board of Studies, Department DQAC Co-ordinator and member of Research Committee. She handles courses related to diversity, ecology and physiology. She is capable to execute well any endeavor she chooses to pursue which would add value to the institution.
