Dr. Saji John K. joined St. Albert’s College as Assistant Professor in Chemistry in July 2014. Prior to this, she worked as Assistant Professor in LBS College, Poojappura and All Saints’ college, Thiruvananthapuram. She also worked as a Guest Lecturer in St. Teresa’s College, Ernakulam and also in SH College, Thevara. She completed her graduation in Chemistry from St. Teresa’s College, Ernakulam and did her post-graduation in Chemistry from the Department of Applied Chemistry, CUSAT in 1997. She was a Junior Project Fellow under the guidance of Dr. MLP Reddy in Regional Research Laboratory (presently known as NIIST), Thiruvananthapuram. She joined CUSAT as a Research Fellow under the guidance of Dr. K. Girish Kumar and was awarded Ph.D. in 2005. She has eight publications (six International and two national) to her credit.

Dr. Saji along with her colleagues Dr. Nify Benny and Dr. Nisha V.S published a practical guide in 2019 for the first year Industrial Chemistry students. She has research collaboration with DB College, Thalayolaparambu and she has guided two MSc students from DB College, Sasthamkotta for their M.Sc. project. She handles both UG and PG classes and she loves teaching Physical chemistry. Her research interest lies in the field of Material Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry. She has attended several National and International seminars and has completed a three month Certificate Course on Molecular Design and Docking and an online Refresher Course of ARPIT under the SWAYAM Platform and a MOOC course by MHRD.
